Community/Public Banks for Ireland.
Ethical Banking for Ireland.
Germany has c. 70% Community/Public Banks. They are the backbone of the German economy, the 4th largest in the world with exports close to that of China.
87% of all businesses in Germany have a turnover of less than €1m per annum. (KfW 2015). The Community/Public Banks support these businesses & start-up businesses. This is one of the major secrets to Germany’s success.
International Banking Professor, Richard Werner, Notes that, “Economic Growth and national income are almost entirely determined by a factor that is decided at home (in Ireland), namely, the amount of bank credit created for productive purposes.” Examples include, Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China.
The Community/Public Banking Model is currently developed by the Public Banking Forum of Ireland with International Community Banking Experts.
